The Waveshare 10.1-inch LCD is based on the CPT2046 controller. This display is fully compatible with Raspberry Pi and the kit comes with a Touch Pen. The resolution of the 10.1-inch LCD for Raspberry Pi is 1024×600 pixels. Apart from the fully-functional compatibility with Raspberry Pi, the 10.1-inch LCD also works with the Personal Computers offering limited functionality as a PC monitor. The connection with the PC requires an HDMI cable.
Raspberry Pi Microcontrollers Compatible with Waveshare 10.1-inch HDMI LCD
The 10.1-inch HDMI LCD works with most of the Raspberry Pi microcontrollers but it is important to mention that this display does not work with the following two Raspberry Pi models:
- Raspberry Pi ZERO (not compatible)
- Raspberry Pi 1 Model B (not compatible)

Compatible Power Supply for Waveshare 10.1-inch HDMI LCD
A 5V/3A Power Supply is compatible with the Waveshare 10.1-inch HDMI LCD for Raspberry Pi. In the case of a large LCD, such as this one, you might need a stand-alone power supply when the LCD is connected to Raspberry Pi.
